New Channels Welcome

I welcome most new channels of 10,000,000 sats or higher. The more the merrier. Before connecting, compare peers to look for diversity between our peers to encourage flow (and fees!) between our nodes. 

Balanced/Group Opens

If you want to open a balanced open at 10,000,000 (i.e., 5,000,000 each) or more, send me a message on Telegram. I will reply as soon as possible to confirm that we can open the channel and coordinate the open. 

The fastest and cheapest way to open is bos open-group-channel. When initiated, bos prompts several questions then generates a group invite code. The non-initiating party uses the code to connect into the group. Video here. 

As a practice, I open channels at 1 sat/vbyte. 

Fee Policy

I run charge-lnd to adjust fees based on liquidity within a particular channel. Fees go up as the remote balance increases and down as the local balance increases. I place channels in various fee-range brackets based on each channel's historic performance (with each bracket covering a range of potential fees). If you have questions, please ask. 

Zero Base Fee Initiative 

If your channel does not charge base fees, mine will not.  That way we encourage micro transactions and adoption. 

Rebalancing

For one-way (but lucrative) channels, I use LNDg to maintain or supplement balance. I much prefer to maintain balance through fee adjustment. But, with LNDg, I am able to rebalance at rates that allow for profit on future traffic.
